Russia's Retaliatory Strike Downs Dozens of Ukrainian Drones over Moscow

Russia claims to have downed dozens of Ukrainian drones attempting to attack Moscow, just a day after Ukraine reported a major drone attack on Kyiv. Russian air defenses intercepted at least 24 drones over the Moscow region and four other provinces, causing limited damage but no reported casualties. Moscow's airports briefly shut down during the attack. Ukrainian officials have not acknowledged or commented on the strikes. In response, Ukraine said it had shot down eight of nine Russian drones fired overnight. Elsewhere, parts of Russian-occupied eastern Ukraine were left without power after a Ukrainian strike on a thermal power plant, and Russian troops continued their attempts to advance near Avdiivka.
