Houthi Attacks Prompt US Investigation and Ship Abandonment
TL;DR
The US is investigating after an unmanned drone crashed near Hodeidah in Yemen, with uncertainty whether it was shot down by Houthi forces. The US has continued strikes against the Houthis in response to their attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea, with recent self-defense strikes on mobile anti-ship cruise missiles and unmanned vessels. This incident follows an attack on a cargo ship in the Gulf of Aden, allegedly in retaliation against "American-British aggression" in Yemen.
