Russia Reacts to Finland's Defense Pact with US, Summons Ambassador

Russia has summoned the Finnish ambassador in Moscow after Finland signed a military cooperation agreement with the US, granting the US broad access to Finland's border with Russia. Moscow has criticized the move and vowed to take necessary measures to counter it. Finland, which recently joined NATO, accuses Russia of directing migrants towards its territory and has temporarily closed all border crossings with its eastern neighbor. The agreement allows the US rapid military access and aid to Finland in the event of conflict, as well as joint training of forces.
