Russia's Navy Boards Cargo Ship in Black Sea, Raises Concerns
TL;DR
Russia has released video footage showing an armed naval inspection unit boarding a cargo ship in the Black Sea and questioning the captain about why the ship had not stopped when demanded to by a Russian warship. The ship, flagged from Palau, had failed to respond to a demand to halt, prompting warning shots to be fired. The incident raises concerns about the dangers of navigating the Black Sea, a crucial route for Ukraine and Russia's agricultural produce. The video also highlights language barriers between the Russian officers and the ship's crew.
