Pro-Palestinian Demonstrations Disrupt California Democratic Convention
TL;DR
The California Democratic Convention in Sacramento was halted by a massive protest of over 2,500 demonstrators demanding a cease-fire in Gaza. The protest started as a sit-in demonstration but quickly grew in size. Protesters marched through the streets, causing traffic disruptions, and called on Democratic leaders to take action. The convention's caucus meetings, hospitality suites, and VoteFest were canceled for safety reasons, and there is uncertainty about whether Sunday's general session will proceed as planned.
