Zelenskyy joins G7 leaders to discuss Ukraine and Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Japan to attend the G7 summit, where he will participate in a session on Ukraine. This is his first trip to Asia since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The G7 leaders gathered in Hiroshima include President Biden as well as the leaders of Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan. Zelenskyy's appearance reinforces the anti-nuclear message host nation Japan has been keen to send, analysts say. The war in Ukraine is on top of the agenda in Hiroshima this week, and leaders agreed on more sanctions on Russia and urged Moscow to stop its ongoing aggression.
