Multiple French Airports Evacuated Amidst Security Threats

Six airports in France, including Lille, Lyon, Nantes, Nice, Toulouse, and Beauvais, were evacuated due to emailed "threats of attack." These evacuations were carried out to ensure the safety of passengers and to investigate the credibility of the threats. The incidents follow a series of bomb threats in France since the recent Hamas attack on Israel and a fatal stabbing by an individual claiming allegiance to the Islamic State group. The Palace of Versailles was also evacuated for the third time in five days due to a security scare.
