Amazon executive replaces Bob Smith as CEO of Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin

Dave Limp, a longtime Amazon executive, will replace Bob Smith as the CEO of Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos' space tourism and rocket company. Limp, who has extensive experience in the high-tech industry, including leading Amazon's satellite business, will take over on December 4. Smith, who has led Blue Origin's transformation into a multifaceted space business, will stay on through January 2 for a smooth transition. Blue Origin is known for its suborbital rocket and spacecraft, New Shepard, and is developing a heavy-lift rocket called New Glenn to compete with SpaceX. The company also won a $3.5 billion contract from NASA for its moon exploration program, Artemis.
