India's Pragyan Rover Successfully Moonwalks, Inspiring Future Lunar Missions
TL;DR
India's Pragyan Rover, part of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft, successfully descended from the Vikram lander's platform and "moonwalked" on the lunar surface. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) released a video showcasing the rover's descent, imprint on the lunar soil, and deployed solar panel. Equipped with scientific instruments, the rover will conduct experiments, gather moon samples, and transmit data back to the lander. The mission life of the rover and lander is 1 Lunar day or 14 Earth days.
