Airline cancellations and suspensions soar as Israel declares war and conflict with Hamas intensifies

Multiple airlines, including American Airlines and Delta Air Lines, have canceled flights to and from Tel Aviv, Israel's largest international airport, after the country declared war on Hamas. The Allied Pilots Association issued a "do not fly" order, and the Federal Aviation Administration urged "extreme caution." Other international airlines, such as Cathay Pacific, Air Canada, Ryanair, Air India, Lufthansa, and Norwegian Air, have also suspended travel to Israel. The conflict, now in its third day, has resulted in over a thousand deaths, and Israel's Defense Minister has ordered a "complete siege" of Gaza.
