Severe Storms Wreak Havoc on Northeast Flights, Thousands Delayed or Canceled

Severe weather, including flash flooding and tornado watches, has led to the cancellation of over 1,400 flights and the delay of more than 7,200 flights in the Northeast region of the United States. Airports such as Newark Liberty International, John F. Kennedy International, LaGuardia, and Boston Logan International are experiencing the most disruptions. Airlines have started offering waivers to affected passengers, and the Department of Transportation states that passengers whose flights are canceled are entitled to a full refund.
