Severe Storm Threatens Eastern US with Rain, Snow, and High Winds

A potent storm system is expected to bring heavy rain, high winds, and snow to south-central Pennsylvania. The rain will develop overnight on Saturday into Sunday, with widespread rain and gusty winds throughout the day on Sunday. The worst of the wind and rain will be Sunday evening and Sunday night. Temperatures could reach near 60 degrees on Sunday, but cold air will wrap around the back end of the storm, potentially causing the rain to switch over to snow later Sunday night into Monday morning. The storm has been designated as an Impact Day, and a flood watch has been issued for several counties. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected, with some areas possibly receiving more. Snowfall accumulations will vary depending on location.
