Unearthed: Ancient and Medieval Curse Tablets Found in Germany

Archaeologists in Germany have discovered a medieval "curse tablet" dating back to the 15th century. The tablet, made of lead and hidden beneath a latrine, contains a handwritten message in Gothic script targeting a woman named Taleke and a man named Hinrik. The inscription is interpreted as a call summoning Satan and a demonic spirit against the unlucky pair. Curse tablets are typically associated with ancient Greece and Rome, making this discovery unique.
