Congo's leader set to sign minerals trade deal with China

Congo President Felix Tshisekedi will visit China from May 24 to 29 to meet President Xi Jinping and sign several key trade deals, including a $6 billion infrastructure-for-minerals deal with Chinese investors. Congo's government seeks to "rebalance" the deal, which was signed by a previous administration, as it believes the terms were unfavorable to Congo. The two heads of state will hold talks and attend the signing ceremony of cooperation documents together.
