Jokowi's Meeting with Xi Yields $13bn in Investment Pledges

Indonesian President Joko Widodo has secured investment pledges worth at least $13 billion from Chinese companies following a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The investments are aimed at supporting the development of Indonesia's planned new capital city in East Kalimantan province and a major green industrial park in North Kalimantan province, both located on the island of Borneo.
