Ceasefire talks in Sudan overshadowed by heavy fighting and blasts.

Heavy fighting between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has continued in Khartoum and other cities ahead of ceasefire talks on Sunday. Hundreds have been killed and nearly 200,000 have fled their homes to neighbouring states. The RSF has occupied civilian properties and pounded civilian areas, leading to severe shortages of food and medicine. The warring factions signed a "declaration of commitment" on Thursday, but on Friday, at least 77 people were killed in Geneina. Sudanese airspace will remain closed to all traffic until 31 May.
