Darfur's Ongoing Tragedy: From Genocide to War.

Violence has erupted in Sudan's Darfur region, with at least 280 people killed in two days in mid-May. The fighting between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces has decimated many areas of the capital, Khartoum, and swept across the country to Darfur, an area already blighted by two decades of genocidal violence. More than 370,000 people have fled Darfur in the past seven weeks, according to the International Organization for Migration. The situation is catastrophic, with people living in a dystopian nightmare where there is no law and order.
