Escalating Drone Attacks: Russia and Ukraine Engage in Aerial Warfare

Russia and Ukraine have engaged in mass drone attacks targeting each other's territories for a second consecutive day. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that at least 35 Ukrainian drones were shot down over three regions in southwestern Russia, including a Russian air base. Ukraine's army and intelligence services claimed to have successfully struck the Morozovsk air base, causing significant damage to military equipment, although this has not been independently verified. Ukraine's air force also shot down 20 Iranian-made drones and one cruise missile launched by Russian troops. The increased drone attacks come as both sides seek to demonstrate their activity in the ongoing conflict, which has reached its two-year mark.
