Foreign nationals and diplomats evacuated as fighting intensifies in Sudan.

Foreign governments are evacuating diplomats and citizens from Sudan as fighting between the Sudanese armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continues for a ninth day with no sign of a truce. Over 420 people, including 264 civilians, have been killed and over 3,700 wounded in the fighting. The ongoing violence has paralyzed the main international airport, destroying civilian planes and damaging at least one runway, and thick, black smoke rose above it. The power struggle between the Sudanese military and the RSF has dealt a harsh blow to Sudan's hopes for a democratic transition.
