"IDF Strikes Hamas Leadership, Prepares for Ground Operation in Gaza"

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) intensified its airstrikes in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, targeting Hamas members and infrastructure, in preparation for an upcoming ground offensive to overthrow Hamas's rule. Among those killed in the airstrikes was the deputy commander of Hamas's rocket array. Israeli forces also captured a member of Hamas's Nukhba commando forces who had been hiding in Israel for over two weeks. The IDF stated that killing Nukhba members and senior Hamas leaders is a top priority. The airstrikes targeted multi-story buildings, tunnel shafts, weapons storage sites, command centers, and mosques used as war rooms by Hamas. The IDF is increasing attacks to reduce threats to its forces and is preparing for the next phase of the war.
