IDF's Swift and Targeted Incursion into Gaza Claims Lives of Hamas Terrorists

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a limited raid in the southern Gaza Strip to map out buildings and clear the area of explosive devices, encountering and killing a Hamas cell in the process. Airstrikes were reported in Gaza City, including near Al-Quds Hospital and a house belonging to Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. The IDF continued its ground offensive in the northern part of the enclave, killing several Hamas operatives and locating tunnels. The IDF confirmed it carried out an airstrike on an ambulance, claiming it was being used by a Hamas cell. Hamas attempted to evacuate fighters in ambulances, but the list was rejected by Egypt and the US. Israeli inspectors discovered oxygen concentrators meant for aerating tunnels operated by terror organizations in Gaza. The IDF obtained intelligence materials from a captured Hamas stronghold. The Hamas-run health ministry claimed over 9,200 Palestinians have been killed, but figures cannot be independently confirmed. Palestinian terror groups continue to fire rockets at southern Israel, including one that landed in a daycare center in Sderot.
