Intense Fighting in Bakhmut as Russia-Ukraine War Continues

Heavy fighting has erupted in the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut, with Russia claiming small advances and Ukraine stating that the intensity of the battle has reached its highest level yet. The Russian Ministry of Defense said that Wagner paramilitaries had advanced a few blocks on the northern and southern edges of the city, while the Ukrainian military said it had repelled Russian attacks in and around the city, which is Russia's main immediate target in the country.
