Russia's Rapid Advancement in Northeast Ukraine: Drone and Missile Barrage

Russian troops have reportedly advanced nearly two miles into northeast Ukraine following a massive drone and missile attack. The advance occurred near the Kharkiv region, which was liberated last September. Ukraine's deputy defense minister stated that the city of Kupyansk is experiencing intense fighting, with Russia attempting to regain lost territories. Russia has launched around 250 missiles in the past week, allegedly causing damage to civilian buildings and injuring civilians. However, Ukraine's air force has successfully taken out 68 Russian drones, thwarting additional encroachments. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy expressed confidence in Ukraine's ability to win the battle and ensure security for Europe. Amid the counterattacks, Ukraine successfully struck two bridges connecting Crimea to Russian-occupied cities in southern Ukraine.
