Sudan Conflict Continues to Endanger Civilians Despite Humanitarian Pledge

Intense fighting between Sudan's army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has made it dangerous to gather the dead in parts of Khartoum, leaving many trapped in their homes. Azhaar Sholgami's grandmother died alone in her house, unable to escape the brutal battle. Despite the humanitarian agreement reached by the two sides in Jeddah on Friday, the parties have yet to secure a truce to turn their promises on paper into reality.
