Sudan's Main Seaport Overwhelmed by Those Seeking Rescue and Safety

Crowds of Sudanese and foreigners are waiting to be evacuated from the chaos-stricken nation, with many heading to Port Sudan on the country's Red Sea coast. The government of South Sudan said that the two rival generals have agreed in "principle" on a weeklong ceasefire starting on Thursday, and on engaging in peace talks. The fighting has displaced at least 334,000 people inside Sudan, and sent tens of thousands more to neighboring countries, with aid workers increasingly concerned about the lack of basic services in these areas.
