Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Wagner Group, has warned that his mercenary troops may have to defend the Russian border region of Belgorod, where there have been armed incursions from Ukraine. Prigozhin criticized the Russian Defense Ministry's handling of the situation and said that his fighters would not wait for an invitation to intervene. Local authorities have reported at least five deaths and 27 injuries in the region. Prigozhin also claimed that a dispute with Ramzan Kadyrov had been resolved.
