"Tragedy Strikes as School Shelter in Gaza Claims Lives in Israel-Hamas Conflict"

At least 20 people have been killed and five injured at a school being used as a shelter in the Jabalia Refugee Camp in Gaza, according to the UN. The school was damaged after heavy bombardments in the area, and footage shows panic and injured individuals at the scene. Two other schools-turned-shelters in the Al Bureij Refugee Camp were also hit, resulting in two deaths and 31 injuries. The UNRWA has reported that nearly 50 of its buildings and assets have been impacted since October 7, including shelters hosting around 700,000 people. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) claim that Hamas uses these sites for operational purposes, justifying their attacks.
