Zelensky Urges Strengthened Air Defences Following Deadly Russian Drone Strike

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for an upgrade of anti-aircraft defences after a Russian drone attack killed at least two people and injured 19 in the city of Sumy. Zelensky also made a joint call with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for the extension of the Black Sea grain deal. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian counteroffensive against Russian forces is facing resistance, and an international office to investigate Russia's invasion of Ukraine has opened in The Hague. Russia's former president Dmitry Medvedev warned that a nuclear war is "quite probable" and tensions between Russia and the West are worse than during the Cuban missile crisis.
