Zelenskyy considers withdrawal from Bakhmut if encircled.

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy has stated that he would order a withdrawal of troops from the city of Bakhmut if there was a risk of them being encircled by Russian forces. However, he currently does not see the need for them to pull out. Bakhmut has been heavily damaged in eight months of fighting, and while Kyiv has stated that Moscow's forces are "very far" from capturing the town, the Ukrainian high command has acknowledged that there have been some Russian advances in the city.
