A 13-year-old Israeli girl and her family survived a brutal Hamas attack on their village of Kfar Aza, hiding in a safe room for 16 hours while the militants rampaged through their community. The girl feared for her life, worrying about potential violence and harm. Eventually, they were rescued by Israeli soldiers, but the village suffered heavy casualties. The death toll is still unknown, but men, women, children, and infants were among those killed. The girl's mother shared a touching promise made during their ordeal. As of Thursday morning, over 1,200 people were killed in Israel, including 25 Americans, and over 1,354 people, including 326 children, were killed in Gaza.
