Egypt Revokes Dutch Museum's Dig License for Black Culture Exhibition.

Egypt's ministry of antiquities has cancelled a Dutch museum's licence for an archaeological dig for displaying images of modern Black musicians imitating ancient Egyptian queens and pharaohs in an exhibition exploring how ancient Egypt has influenced modern Black musicians. The exhibition, Kemet: Egypt in hip hop, jazz, soul & funk, has been accused of "falsifying history" and "Afrocentrism". The museum's managing director called out "anti-Black sentiment" and said the dig was aimed at research, restoration and conservation.
