Dutch F-16s Deployed to Romania for Ukrainian Pilot Training

The Netherlands has deployed five F-16 fighter jets to Romania to train Ukrainian pilots at the European F-16 training center. The Dutch government aims to provide Ukraine with F-16 capabilities and has committed to making 12-18 F-16s available for training purposes. The training will include refresher courses for F-16 instructors and training for Romanian and Ukrainian pilots. The Netherlands also plans to teach Ukrainian personnel how to maintain the F-16s. The deployment is part of European efforts coordinated by the Netherlands and Denmark, with support from Lockheed Martin, to assist Ukraine in enhancing its defense capabilities.
