"Romania Establishes NATO F-16 Training Hub, Including Ukraine"

Romania has opened a regional F-16 training hub, supported by NATO, which will provide training for Romanian pilots as well as allies and partners, including Ukraine. The hub, located near the Romanian town of Fetesti, will use F-16 jets provided by the Netherlands and will offer training support from Lockheed Martin. The training of Ukrainian pilots is expected to begin next year, as Ukraine seeks to counter Russian air superiority. The United States has approved sending F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine once pilot training is completed.
