Israeli History Teacher Arrested for Justifying Hamas' Actions

A history and civics teacher at a school in Petah Tikva, Israel, was arrested and fired after suggesting that Hamas was justified in its terror attack. The teacher allegedly spread propaganda on WhatsApp, claiming that an occupied nation is allowed to do anything necessary to succeed in its struggle. He also defended the rapes allegedly perpetrated by Hamas, stating that Israeli soldiers have raped Palestinians since 1948. The teacher has been accused of expressing anti-IDF sentiments in the past and trying to encourage high school students to refuse military service. Israeli police have recorded 48 indictments and are investigating 381 publications related to statements made about the war.
