"Captivating Oceanic Visions: Winners of the 2023 Ocean Photographer of the Year"

Jialing Cai has been named the Ocean Photographer of the Year 2023 for capturing an otherworldly image of a paper nautilus floating on ocean debris after a volcanic eruption in the Philippines. The photo competition aims to showcase the beauty of the oceans and the threats they face. Thousands of entrants submitted underwater and coastal images, including pictures captured by drone. The winning and highly commended images will be displayed at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney.
