Massive iceberg breaks free after decades, poses threat to Southern Ocean wildlife

The world's largest iceberg, A23a, has broken free from the floor of the Weddell Sea in Antarctica and is now drifting towards the Southern Ocean. Weighing nearly a trillion metric tonnes and measuring almost 4,000 square km, the iceberg is three times the size of New York City. Scientists believe that strong winds and currents have aided its movement.
