Lost wallet's owner found across continents.

A lost wallet found on the Italian island of Lampedusa, which had been carried 3,500km from Ghana, led to a journalist's search for its owner. The wallet was part of a collection of lost belongings that serves as a museum to the memory of the tens of thousands who have risked their lives crossing the Mediterranean from North Africa to Lampedusa. The journalist eventually tracked down the owner, Richard Opoku, who had lost the wallet in 2011 during his journey to Europe. Opoku had worked as an illegal gold miner in Ghana before travelling to Europe via Nigeria, Niger and Libya. He now lives in Germany and works as a forklift truck driver.
