Ukrainian conflict scatters kindergarten class worldwide

The war between Ukraine and Russia has left nearly 3,000 schools damaged, including a kindergarten classroom in Kharkiv. The classroom, once filled with 27 students and their teacher, is now empty and covered in debris. The children's belongings remain, frozen in time, telling the story of life before the war. The invisible damage to the children, however, is far deeper and less-deadly. Their stories represent the millions of children from Ukraine who have left and who have stayed, struggling to remember, wanting to forget, but also laughing and learning new languages and beginning to dream.
