Desperate Plight: Black Refugees Stranded in Tunisian Desert Face Death and Misery

About 70 Black refugees, including women and children, are stranded in a buffer zone on the Tunisia-Libya border, enduring scorching heat and lacking access to healthcare or humanitarian support. They were rounded up by Tunisian security forces following the death of a Tunisian man, which led to increased hostility towards Black refugees. Human Rights Watch has accused the Tunisian government of collective expulsion and mistreatment. The refugees, expelled from Sfax, are stranded with little water, food, healthcare, or shelter, putting their lives at risk.
