Actress Priyanka Chopra joined the call for a lasting humanitarian ceasefire in Palestine, amplifying a post from UNICEF that highlighted the devastating impact on children amid the Israeli bombardment. The post emphasized the urgent need to protect and assist children in accordance with international humanitarian law, as the Gaza Strip once again became the most dangerous place for children. The plea comes after a seven-day respite from violence, during which over 5,300 Palestinian children were reportedly killed, with many more missing or presumed buried under rubble.
