"Red Cross Warns of Gaza Hospitals on the Brink of Becoming Morgues"

Hospitals in Gaza are at risk of becoming morgues as the territory's only power plant ran out of fuel and back-up generators could stop working soon, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The medical centers are overwhelmed due to Israel's "complete siege" on Gaza and the ongoing air and artillery strikes. Without electricity, hospitals cannot provide essential medical care, including incubators for newborns, oxygen for elderly patients, kidney dialysis, and X-rays. The ICRC warns that hospitals are running on limited fuel supplies, and the situation is critical. Israel has vowed not to restore electricity or allow humanitarian aid until Hamas releases around 150 hostages it abducted during its attacks.
