Sudan and South Sudan: Humanitarian Crisis Deepens

The ongoing conflict in Sudan has resulted in over 4.5 million internally displaced people and limited access to basic services. Food prices are soaring, and there are reports of increased sexual and gender-based violence, family separation, and child recruitment. Health facilities lack staff and supplies. Despite challenges, humanitarian organizations have reached about 3.7 million people with life-saving assistance. However, they require $2.6 billion to support 18.1 million people, but have only received $783.1 million as of 15 September.
