The US has lifted pandemic-era immigration restrictions known as Title 42, and migrants are now adapting to new rules aimed at discouraging illegal crossings and offering new legal pathways for entering the country. The Biden administration has promised up to 30,000 people a month from Haiti, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela can enter if they apply online with a financial sponsor and enter through an airport.
