Hamas Promises Release of Foreign Hostages in Coming Days

Hamas has announced that it will release some of the hostages with foreign passports that were abducted during its October 7 massacre. The decision comes as a result of mediation by certain countries. Israel has rejected the differentiation and called for the immediate release of all hostages. Around 50 hostages are believed to be held by other terror groups. Hamas denies that Israel freed an IDF soldier from their captivity and claims that the war will mark the end of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's political career. The IDF has intensified its operation in Gaza, while Hamas uses negotiations for hostage release to buy time and resources. Qatar continues its efforts to secure the release of hostages, including 22 Thais abducted during the onslaught.
