SEAL Team 6 evacuates US embassy in Sudan

US special operations teams led by Navy's SEAL Team Six and Army's 3rd Special Forces Group evacuated all US Embassy staff from Sudan's capital, Khartoum, to a military base in Djibouti. The evacuation and embassy closure were ordered as cease-fire talks between rival military factions in Sudan failed. More than 400 people have been killed since April 15. The US isn't currently planning a coordinated evacuation of American civilians in Sudan, but officials said the US is looking to share information with other nations on security conditions and escape routes.
