UN Report: Evidence of Hamas Committing Sexual Assault During Attacks on Israel

A UN report found "reasonable grounds to believe" that rapes were committed by Hamas during its October 7 attacks on Israel, with some hostages being raped and possibly ongoing violence against those still held. The report detailed incidents of conflict-related sexual violence, including rape and gang-rape, in multiple locations, and noted that victims subjected to rape were then killed in most cases. Despite calls for victims to come forward, none did, but the mission team was able to interview survivors and witnesses, view footage of the attacks, and talk to some released hostages.
