Rapid Succession of Attacks Target US Forces in Iraq and Syria

US forces in Iraq and Syria were targeted in four separate attacks involving rockets and armed drones, but no casualties or infrastructure damage were reported. The attacks occurred at two sites in northeastern Syria and two locations in Iraq, including the Ain Al-Asad airbase and a base near Erbil airport. A group known as the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, believed to be associated with Iran-aligned Iraqi armed groups, claimed responsibility for the attacks. These incidents follow a US strike on the Iran-aligned Kataeb Hezbollah group, which resulted in condemnation from the Iraqi government.
