Russia Repels Massive Ukrainian Drone Attack, Protecting Moscow

Russia claims to have downed dozens of Ukrainian drones attempting to attack Moscow, with at least 24 drones brought down over the Moscow region and four other provinces. The drone strikes caused limited damage to buildings and briefly disrupted operations at Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports. Russian Telegram channels speculated that Ukraine had deployed a new type of drone in the attack. This comes after Russia targeted Kyiv with over 60 drones, injuring five civilians. The Ukrainian air force reported shooting down eight of nine drones fired by Russian forces. In addition, two rockets fired by Kyiv were shot down over the Sea of Azov, and parts of Russian-occupied eastern Ukraine experienced power outages following a Ukrainian strike on a thermal power plant. Russian troops continue their attempts to advance near Avdiivka, a Ukrainian stronghold.
