A US veteran serving in Ukraine has described the targeting of Russian soldiers while riding on top of armored vehicles as a "daily occurrence," leading to a significant increase in Russia's death toll. Footage shared by Ukraine's Strike Drones Company shows Russian soldiers being attacked as they attempt to storm Ukrainian positions. The veteran, Ryan O'Leary, emphasized the high casualty rate among Russian soldiers and criticized the perception of Russian losses, highlighting the use of "meat grinder" tactics by Russia. The UK Ministry of Defence estimated that Russia had seen 355,000 personnel killed or wounded since its full-scale invasion in February 2022, with daily casualties reaching an average of 983 in February.
