Orban: Russia Unlikely to Dominate the West

Orban, who has refused to provide military assistance to Ukraine and seeks to opt out of NATO's long-term aid plan, emphasized that NATO's military strength far exceeds that of Ukraine, making a Russian attack on NATO unlikely. He suggested that references to a Russian threat are a prelude to deeper Western involvement in the Ukraine conflict. Relations between Hungary and the U.S. have deteriorated over Hungary's stance on Sweden's NATO accession and Orban's ties with Moscow.
